Not so long ago a lovely bunch of ladies went on a retreat near Rockhampton organised by Danielle and JoAnne from Sew This & That, and the project they all chose to make – much to my delight – was my Doctor Bag!!
Look at all of these FABULOUS Doctor Bags!!!!Don’t they look simply wonderful sitting there together . Thanks Danielle for the pic … you made my day.

A very special guest.
I taught a class of really lovely ladies at Sew This & That at Morayfield last Friday. The star of the day was certainly beautiful Odelle, a trainee guide dog. She was perfectly behaved, in fact we hardly knew she was there.
Thanks to Susan for bringing her along to share the day with us :o).
Take care,
hugs,
Joy ;o)

Christmas in July
Here's what I've been working on, just sneaky peeks for now.
You'll have to come to Bundaberg to be first to see it in it's entirety. There are some pretty stitcheries to do in this one :o).

Catching up
Oh my goodness, it’s been AGES since I did a post!!!
I just looked and my last one I’m off to Sydney …. where I must say we all had a blast. This is us at dinner, great food, great company :o).
It was fabulous to meet up with people who’ve been living in my ‘puter for so long lol. Thanks Maree for being a super roomie :o)!!!
Well I’ll show you what I’ve been up to for the past 3 weeks!! These are pics of a really fun blog meet-up with Wendy, Teresa and Marilyn!!!
Honestly, my jaw was aching from laughing so much with these gawjus ladies – so glad we finally got to meet you Wendy :o).
So what have I been making?? Not long ago I had a pile of unfinished projects, now, they’re done :o). I’m thinking of giving this to my Mum for her Birthday in a couple of weeks, but I’m not sure yet.
It’s a great sized bag and easy to make, but if I was making it again I think I’d do it with firmer batting. The pattern – one my friend found in Homespun, (sorry, I can’t remember the designer) used quilted calico and it’s just a little bit floppy for me – but apart from that I love it :o).
Here’syet another Doctor Bag and a cute ‘Colour n Carry’ I made for my hairdresser’s little grandson – he loves Diddy Kong :o)!
I’ve also finished a gawjus quilt for my very first grand-baby, but I can’t show any pics as I haven’t given the quilt to my DS and DILy yet and I’d like them to see it first. But I must say, I’m very pleased with it :o).
So here’s what I’m working on now …. lots of lovely Christmassy goodness. It’s for a project I’m doing for this … with Nikki Tervo and Libby Richardson. If you’re able to get to Bundaberg for this fabulous weekend and you’d like more info please give Quilters Shack a call on the number in the pic. I’m so excited, I’m sure it will be a super-fun weekend :D.
Well I’d better get back to work – yes, I call it that but it’s hardly ‘work’ he he he.
