What a great week it’s been!!!

First of all a great big thank you for all of your wonderful birthday wishes - you're all so lovely and you made me feel so spesh!!! I've had the best birthday ever!!!

Finally I can come clean!! I was sworn to secrecy ….. couldn’t tell a soul!!! My gawjus DD1 Tahlia has been here in Brissy with me all week :o)!!! She had to go to South Australia for work for a week then she flew up to Brisbane for a week which was great cos I got to spend my 50th birthday with her!!! We went to lunch at a lovely restaurant on the bay – and since it was such a lovely day we ate outside :o). But today she headed back to London ….

Some little covered notebooks … perfect for gift giving and so easy to put together :o). My first projects on my new Rosie!!

Before I go I thought I’d show you a piccy – since it’s Halloween and all – of my gawjus DIL Alicia (right) and a couple of her friends all dressed up as vampires for a Halloween party prettiest vampires I ever did see ;o).

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!!

We don't tend to go 'all out' here in Oz celebrating Halloween but I'm sure to get some cute as a button trick or treaters at the door tonight ... and I'm going to be ready!!! I love to see the little darlings all dressed up in their scary outfits ... sooooo cute!!! :o)

Well it's been a week since the Craft and Quilt Show and I realised I haven't shown you what I bought!!! I had such fun - ended up going for 2 days instead of one, so much to see :o). I've started the Ella and Skysie stitchery that I bought ... I ALWAYS buy an Ella and Skysie stitchery when I go ... ALWAYS :o). ............. And scissors, I can't resist scissors he he he .....................

As you can see there's a couple of pairs in that piccy above he he he. I also found 'Fortunes and Fairies' there ... I haven't seen them at the shows before and they had a fabulous range of fabrics and they were in 30cm strips (which I prefer) rather than fatties so I got myself a nice selection ..... don't you just LOVE the rosy one at the back ..... I got half a metre of that one and now I'm wishing I'd bought more he he he!!! No problem though, they have a website I can always pop in there.I couldn't sleep last night ... I tossed and turned for what seemed like ages!!! Then I had an 'epiphany' as my friend Persephone would call it ......... now I can't tell you too much more as I'm going to do my best to get this design made up this weekend - but I can tell you that these .......... have something to do with it :o)!!!!!!!!!!

Have you got your latest issue of Creating Country Threads yet!!!!! Oh you just have to buy this one ............ it's got a gorgeous pattern in it by the beautiful Cheryl Goss from Willowberry Designs - one of my darling Gumnut Sisters!!!!!
That's her wonderful cushion on the right hand side above "lend a helping hand" ..... and you can also read all about her as they've done a profile story about Cheryl too!!!!

He he ......... I know, that was just silly LOL







But I'm ready for them ... there will be no "tricks" for this little black duck!!! Only treats and smiling little cherubs as they hold their bags out for their little gifties :o). Of course, because I am prepared I can see it now, my lot are going to be scoffing choccies for ages cos the 'trick or treaters' won't come!!! Not me though, I'm going to be good - even during this choccy/lolly driven occasion - NO yummy sweet stuff will pass these lips! Gotta lose just a couple of kg before DS's wedding :o). (Oh give me strength!!!!!).

Onto the subject of stitcheries ... yahoo!!! 5 done and none to do!!! Woo hoo ... aren't they cute!??!

Next step is to make 134- 3/4" hexagons!!! 22 down, 112 to go LOL!!!! I'll be working on these for a while yet!!For the regular readers of my blog, you'll know that I have quite a penchant for hexagons ... I love to hand-sew and I'm really enjoying this project. I'll keep you posted :o).

My roses are looking better everyday!!! Princess de Monaco (my favourite) ...Peace...... and Double Delight - fabulous fragrance.
