This is my treasure for this week … I just love this little dress. It still has it’s shine but the seams and the fabrics are looking very fragile – and no wonder – this little darling is 74 years old!!!
I can see definite signs of age around the neckline and the ruffle, but the pink looks to be as pink as it was all those years ago …

So who was the little princess who wore this adorable dress???? It was my gawjus Mum!!! 
That’s her on the bottom right hand side of the pic … sorry about the flare from the flash :o/. The bride and groom were my Great Uncle Fred and my Great Aunty Phyllis. Did you notice the other little flower girl is holding two baskets of flowers … perhaps the pout on my Mum’s 3 year old face has something to do with that he he he…… 
Looks to me like they took that pic just in time LOL.

Joy, this is just sooooo beautiful. I can't believe you still have her little dress and it looks in such wonderful condition. So special to have the photo too. I almost put my bridesmaid dress in today, but I changed my mind!! Maybe another Tuesday! Thanks for sharing xx
Awe...what a sweet picture of you mum!! I was a flower girl once (LONG ago) so I know just how she feels! LOL
Oh Joy , that is a real special treasure and so wonderful that it is still around after all these years . I love the picture as well , just so sweet . The dress is worth framing to keep it around for a long time to come .

When i was decorating my daughter's room, many years ago, I hung up my christening dress on a hanger that I painted myself. It's (gasp) nearly 50 years old and looks so beautiful on the wall instead of tucked in a box. It's fragile, too, but we've enjoyed it for years now.

Oh my goodness what a lovely treasure. Joy, you should put that in a shadow box frame and hang it on the wall, away from sunlight. That is too sweet!!!!!
Joy now that is a treasure.....it has been kept very well...
How lucky you are to have such a memorable treasure, and to think it has lasted all these years. I just love the pouting face must have had enough for the day.
