Tuesday Treasures

Gawjus Clare came up with the fabulous idea for us to share our treasures!! Not the obvious ones, like our much loved families, or our sewing goodies …. the ones we’ll be sharing are the precious objects that mean so much to us. Now I know I’m a day late for this first one, but I want to play along, so here’s mine …….

My Mum bought me a chain bracelet when I was in my teens …. I think I was about 15 or 16, I really don’t remember. But ever since then she has bought me a charm to put on it that would mean something to me when I look back on it. Each one holds a precious memory….June 2010 282

This one was the year I fell and tore the ligaments in my ankle … OUCH!!June 2010 285 These are of course because of my love of sewing …

and some for very special times - like my wedding and the births of my gawjus babies …

This bracelet now has 50 charms on it … so you can imagine, Mum was having a bit of a dilemma towards the end trying to find ones that I hadn’t got. No problem though, she found this…June 2010 283 he he he …. it’s a kitchen sink!!! She figured I had everything on it but that LOL. So now I guess I’ve got *everything* on it he he :o)!!!

Love your charm bracelet - understand the memories that each charm holds :-) When DH & I were going out I would get a charm for my bracelet rather than flowers -so I could keep the memories! :-))
Happy stitching, P

Joy - I hope you have a teddy on your charm bracelet!

I enjoyed seeing your charm bracelet. I have one, too, but not the one I had as a teen. This one I started after I married. I thought mine was full but yours has it beat. I know they mean a lot because your Mom bought them.

Charm bracelets are so much fun. I have lost the two I had as a teenager :( but have tried to lure my daughters into the fun of collecting charms. So far no luck, but I have granddaughters!
