I'm in love! I love the sewing box and hope to win. If I don't win I hope to buy it. I buy patterns for bags and stitcheries all the time, maybe I'll get around to make all of them one day.
Sewing with pre-cuts is so much fun and I love to use them. I like to make as much as possible out of them like lap quilts.

Oh Joy, you don't make things easy do you? I'm a pattern freak and there is no rhyme or reason as to the style of patterns I buy, I think I'll blame it on the changes in the moon, every new phase is a new phase in my choice. Sad I know but hey, an ecclectic mix make the quilting world go round. I really like the sewing caddy, it's awesome and so much nicer than the shoe box that I use at the moment.
Thanks for this chance.
hugs - Miche'le

I buy patterns because I like them. I don't usually buy them with a purpose. As far as quilt size goes, it doesn't really matter.

Thank you for the chance to win your great giveaway.

I love buying patterns just to buy them. lolol
But I do love easy quilt patterns and bag patterns.

What a fabulous giveaway!! The sewing box is just fabulous.

I tend to buy patterns for useful items more than others. I do wonder what to do with my precuts. I seem to have been making mostly smaller quilts lately, but I do find the larger ones more useful.

Aren't you just so generous! I love the honey bun projects. At the moment I am always looking at Jelly Roll patterns, but it is generally just whatever takes my fancy at the time.

I buy precuts for any particular project...other wise i go for a yard or more of fabrics.

In our part of the world weather wise, quilts are not a necessity. so i love to make quilted wall hangings, cushion, runners etc.

I like to buy patterns for all sorts of things - a lot practical I supppose but there is still room for things that just look good to decorate the home. I love bags! Dolls! Quilts.....all sizes, they all have a different purpose. Small for lap quilts, back of couches, picnic rugs, cot quilts, play quilts. Large for beds. I usually decide what I want the quilt for when I come up with the idea for it.

Hello beautiful!

You've thought of everything sweetheart, love the extra tote for taking your project 'out and about'!!

I really love pincushions and scissor fobs... generally, sewing parafinalia! I guess if something is pretty, I'll make it even if I don't "need" it! I'm also very interested in patterns that cater for pre-cuts - because it takes so much of that "thinking" and cutting time out of the equation - always a good thing when you just want to sew, sew, sew!!! :-)

Hugs darling! Vikki xxxx

I LOVE that sewing box, would love to win but would definitely buy a pattern for it. I don't usually buy patterns at all, I mostly make up my own. I do look at books for ideas for quilts and tend to alternate between making bed quilts and then using the scraps for smaller projects.

Ondrea said...

Oh Joy oh Joy!!! Such a lovely lot of things!! I usually seek out patterns for small items I can make for gifts especially those which have stitcheries on them. I have a thing about small, mini quilts and have a couple of pattern books for making some. This is a great way of using up odds and ends of my stash. Thanks for the chance in your giveaway Joy!

marina said...

What a lovely giveaway.
I usually like to buy patterns that that I am sure I will use, whatever the pattern is for (if it has stitcheries in it I am quite tempted) . I like to make lap type quilts -just easier on lots of levels. It seems a more achievable goal to plan, sew and quilt.

Hi Joy what a wonderful give=a=way. I really enjoy making useful items like your basket, tote bage, scissor fobs stuff like that. I also like to make throw quilts or wallhangings. This way I get to quilt them myself.. And if I can sew from pre cuts I do because it even makes making the quilt getting to the finish line much faster...take care

KaHolly said...

What fun is this?? Lately, I'm into purchasing patterns for little things, such as the pattern you are offering for your give-away. It's new for me. I've always been 'just a quilter', and am having so much fun making bags and stitcheries, needle and tea wallets, and the like. Thanks! ~karen

Craftluver said...

I just love the sewing assecoires pattern. So lovely to have all kinds of sewing items with the same style of fabric. I would love patterns for pre cuts as I really have trouble to know what to do with them, but love to buy them. Of course I can buy books for them, but I love single patterns for items I really love. In books there are always only 2-3 things I like to make. I love lap quilts or wall hangings. And I love stitchery aswell. If I don't win I would love to know where I can buy this pattern of all those lovely goodies! Thanbks for making those lovely patterns!

What a beautiful giveaway! Thank you for the opportunity to win! I generally make queen size quilts...the quilt has to fit my double pillow top mattress because, of course, all my quilts are made for me. ;o) Somehow, some of them find new homes. I love aprons and, therefore, apron patterns. My son is in the health care profession; I make his scrubs. Now I am into baby patterns since both of husband's children are FINALLY going to grace him with grandchildren in November and January.

grendelskin said...

Ohh, pretty! I like patterns for bags and other functional items - though I don't always get around to making them. I tend to make my quilts oversized; it's no fun if it really only fits one lap!

Marj said...

Thank you for your giveaways.
I buy patterns to make gifts for friends...useful items. Also, I make lap quilts and baby quilt from pre-cuts.
Love the sewing box!

Betty said...

What great patterns. I especially like the Sewing Caddy and go alongs. I have all sorts of patterns. For a long time I was into bags and purses. I try to do it all, large quilts, lap quilts, table runners, placemats and have recently started stitching. So many projects and not enough time to do them all.
I would love to win one of your patterns. Thanks for the nice giveaway.

manda said...

Hey Joy, what fabbo patterns! Count me in!!!
I like to buy patterns for things that I know I'll need the pattern for. Like, if I can look at something and know how it's put together, then I don't need a pattern and can just make my own. But if something's complicated, then I'll need a pattern! I love patterns for 3D soft toys, as they're the hardest to copy.
I've made a Q quilt top, but haven't had the time (or knowledge) to be able to quilt it yet. I think maybe a lap size quilt would be much easier to start with!
Many Hugs!

Wow that is a really nice pattern. I tend to buy something that just grabs my eye. I like all kinds of things. I definitely buy patterns for useful items. I'm a simple woman. I love pretty things, but they need to have a purpose. I mostly buy purse or tote bag patterns. I really haven't done much with the precuts. Great giveaway. Winona

My tastes are eclectic though from country to shabby from softies to bags, you name it I love to make it! I just need more hours in the day!

Now for the answers!!! I tend to buy patterns for smaller items like bags etc. I usually design my own quilts but don't have much of a clue when it comes to fiddlier things. The jelly rolls, and other precuts are so good - but the choices make it hard to decide which to buy.

Thank you so much for the chance,

Happy Sewing!

Fantastic giveaway! Those patterns would look great made with my Rouenneries honeybun :-).
Thanks for the idea for the embroidered buttons. I looked at that 'thing' to make them this week, but I wondered if I would use it (more than once LOL). But thede little embroderies are too cute!

I love the sewing caddy. I usually buy patterns for unusual things-coasters made from cloth covered bottle tops, etc-as I have tons of quilt patterns! I like to make bed quilts but lately I've been doing a lot of baby quilts. I also like to make room accessories, pillow covers, table runners and such.

What a fun giveaway! I buy patterns for all things, but I tend to buy the ones that have that 'little something special' in the matter of design which I think is sooo pretty, that 'something' that makes the quilt one that I will remember.....you know what i mean?
All the best.

Oh I love the new pattern. When I buy a pattern I look for functionalitly, that it can be used and also I love patterns that use FQ's, because even if you have yardage you can make Fq's from them.

I just buy whatever pattern strikes me at the time...no rhyme or reason..I just like it!
Am always a bit stuck how to use pre cuts...so many ideas and not enough time....usually I make wall hangings, cushions or bags, got way too many quilts (of all sizes)

Hi Joy - would LOVE to win! You seem to come up with such cute ideas...

I'm in for a giveaway - the patterns I love to buy range from bags and quilts to stitcheries and cross stitch. I bought 2 cute cross stitch kits today at Spotlight where they were half price and the last quilt pattern was Big Blooms by Wendy Williams from Material Obsession.
BTW the sewing kit is just awsome

I have a varied interest in patterns. Recently bought some only because they were on sale for .99. I chose home decor, organizers and period costumes! I have several large quilts I want to do but mostly work small. Love pre-cuts and all the patterns for them.

Hi Joy...
I fear that I am too late for the drawing; however, I would like to say how beautiful the box and all are so beautiful!
