Getting a bit excited now!!

  It’s exactly one week until I go to the airport to pick up my fellow NUTTERS!!! I’m really looking forward to it, we’ve all chatted on the phone, emailed constantly and become such close friends over the past 18 months - and I can’t believe we’re actually going to be face to face in a few short days :o)!! Only 7 more sleeps!!!! Woohoo :oD!!! And don’t forget our bloggers picnic on 5th March. It’s at GJ Walters Parkdown behind the Grand View Pub at Cleveland (Brissy).

We’ll be there from about 9.30am until around lunch time so come along and bring your friends … we’d love to meet you all :o). There aren’t any shops at the park so it’s best if you bring your own refreshments – although I’m pretty sure you can buy a coffee at the Grand View :o).

On the sewing front … I’ve been a busy beaver too. I’ve made another “Pack Up Your Troubles” bag for my local patchwork store as a store sample. These aren’t usually my colours but I’m really chuffed with how it’s turned out :o). I don’t have this pattern on the website yet (been a bit slack!!) but if you’d like it you can email me at joy at joypatch dot com. It’s quite a big bag (18” x 12 1/2”) and it has a zipper to close it on the top and zippered pockets on both sides. ***Don’t be afraid of the zippers though … I promise, they’re easy peasy*** :o)!!!    And while I was visiting there look what Margaret gave me … aren’t they delish!!! I just love the birdies!!! Thanks Margaret :o)!!

I’ve also been doing some handstitching in the evenings … having great fun with my Playing with Paper Pack!!

What A Terrific Monday!!

Yesterday was such fun!!! I got to go to a Sue Daley (From “Patchwork with Busy Fingers”) workshop!!! It was a really big class and we were all delighted when Sue gave us a surprise trunk show at lunch time. I just LOVE Sue’s work and it was a real treat to see some of her beautiful quilts up close and personal :o)!!
Love this one ………. simply couldn’t resist this one, I bought the pattern :o) ……this one’s on the ‘bucket list’ too, isn’t it gawjus!!!???!!Here’s what I made … I have a bit of unpicking to do there in the middle. Those little lines not joining up will drive me bonkers LOL …    And here’s what I simply couldn’t resist ……and here’s the lovely lady herself … Thank you Sue for a fabulous day :o)!!!

I made this yesterday

I’ve never used one of these cute purse tops before and it was really easy to put this together!!and a pretty fabric flower with a vintage button to finish it off :o) …   Just right for taking a little handstitch project out … I think I’ll be making more of these!!
