Lots to tell … and a GIVEAWAY!!!

It just seems to have been go go go since we got home from our hols, busy times with lots happening – finally I get a moment to myself that I can show you what I’ve been up to :o).

I’ve been shopping too in my local patchwork store!!! I simply couldn’t resist these pretties …. December 2010 009Mmmmm …… spots and rosebuds … and PINK rosebuds too, love ‘em!!! Thanks for helping me find them Gail!!!

Oh, and if you haven’t already, you should pop on over and visit Maree’s online store!! She’s just started stocking some of my JoyPatch patterns too – there’s lots to see and some rather yummy fabrics to make you drool!! Go on, follow the link spoil yourself ;o).

I’ve also been stitching some Healing Hearts blocks for the families of the 29 miners who lost their lives in the Pike River Mine tragedy in New Zealand … December 2010 010 this heartbreaking story touched so many of us in so many ways, and Shirley is gathering some healing heart blocks to make quilts for all of the family members who lost a loved one. If you could spare a little time to make some of these blocks I know Shirley would appreciate it so please visit over here for more details.

I’ve also managed to finish two new patterns this week …. yes you read it right … TWO!!!

- Number One - This one is “Pack up your Troubles” Pack up your Troublesand it’s a travel bag 18 1/2” wide, 12 1/2” tall with a 6 1/2” gusset so you can fit LOADS of goodies in this. It has a zippered topDecember 2010 007 and also zippered pockets on the sides too, December 2010 006 but don’t be afraid … they’re REALLY simple to do ;o)!!! I’ve also made a cute travel wallet with pockets inside for your passport, tickets, a notebook perhaps … and a pen.

This is a Honeybun friendly pattern too!!!!

- Number 2 -

This is my “Teatime Tabletopper” Teatime Tabletopperit’s quite large as toppers go, 42” x 31 1/2” but I reckon it looks so pretty on my dining table – all set out ready for afternoon tea. Bring on the scones with jam and fresh cream :o)!!

So two new patterns just has to call for a giveaway ;o) … all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I’ll pick 3 random winners on Sunday night Brisbane time – each winner will win both of my new patterns!!!

I’ll have both of these patterns for sale on my blog on Monday for a short time only – after that you’ll be able to find them where JoyPatch patterns are sold (see this page).

Good luck!!!!!!

Hello Joy, lovely giveaway. Yes the caring hearts is a lovely idea. I posted about it on the craft forum several days ago. I think I first found out when I was looking at lydia's treasures blog over there in NZ. What a terrible tragedy. At least this is some way to show our sympathy, love and support.
Hugs from Sandy. :-)

Great patterns and zippers don't bother me as I made the girls school uniforms for years! I like the little travel wallet with the pockets too but I'd have to work up to the table topper as anything that resembles a triangle defies me.

I know I am late, but which range of fabric did the little pink rosebuds come from? Are they on cream background - cream like ivory or cream like the dairy product?
