I love this pattern!!!!

Those of you who’ve been reading my blog for a while would know that I simply LOVE this pattern…… Gawjus Cath Baynes from Willow Valley Store has taken the fear out of zippers for me with this adorable little pouch design. I’ve made LOADS of these handy little guys and this week I’ve made yet another, this one is a little ‘thank you’ for a lovely lady from my quilt group who lent me a fabulous book :o) …..Honestly, you can whip up one of these in an hour or so …. so easy peasy :o). Oooh, I might make some of these for my "Early Bird Christmas" gifties!!! This gives me 2 finishes for June now – YAY :o)!!!

Lucky me!!

I entered a giveaway at Cath’s Willow Valley Store blog recently and I was one of the lucky winners!!! My patterns have arrived and I couldn’t be happier!! I love Cath’s patterns and these two are just gawjus!! Thank you so much Cath :o).

I also found another surprise in my mailbox …. these lovely fat quarters from Julie. Julie fell in love with a bag I had on my blog a few weeks ago and so I sent it to her … and look what she did for me ~ aren’t they pretty!! What a sweety she is, thank you so much Julie :o)!!! I mentioned in my last post that I’ve been playing with some sashiko embroidery. Well here’s another I’ve been working on ….This one is my own design, maybe for a table runner?? Not sure yet.

I’ve had busy stitchy fingers this week but I can’t show you what I’ve been making. It’s a surprise for someone special ;o). Mmmmmmm, I do love those fabrics though ;o).

Have you got your latest issue of Creating Country Threads yet??? I was so excited to get this one, there’s a profile of our very own dear Jenny of Elefantz!!! Not only that but her gawjus DD Blossom has a pattern in there too. And take a look at that cute guitar on the cover … that’s made by none other than Vikki of Sew Useful Designs!! Her first published design and she made the cover!!! Pretty cool :o)!!

I might go and do a bit more Sashiko … have you tried anything new lately??
