Another visit :o) – and an exciting new toy for me!!!

We’ve just had a wonderful visit from my lovely daughter Tahlia and her partner Luke. They were here for a wedding in Sydney and came up to Brisbane for some time with the families before they headed back to London via Cambodia. It was only a short visit this time and they left late last night *sniff* …… I’m going to miss her so much. We had a terrific time while they were here though … and we even managed a few days up at Noosa on the Sunshine Coast with the whole family … fabulous, even though it was a bit overcast sometimes :o)!!!! November 2011 033 It was also super special timing as I got to celebrate my birthday with ALL of my children – that’s two years in a row :o)!!!
My gawjus kids!!!! Love them to bits :o)!!!
Speaking of birthdays …. thanks to everyone for your lovely birthday wishes – it was a great day made even more special by the thoughtfulness of my dear blogging and facebook friends :o) – I feel truly blessed to have met such lovely people in blogland, and I’m constantly amazed by their generosity too - Thank you SO much Vicki, Maree and Fee too … you made my day :o)!! Look at the lovely gifties they sent …
(oh and yes Vicki and Maree … I’m well aware that there are some licorice allsorts missing from the piccies of your gifties!!! And that’s all I’m sayin’ he he he)
So what’s the exciting new toy you ask???
This …………… !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!November 2011 007 My “Accuquilt GO! Baby” is here …. woohoo!!!  I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been making. What fun!!! And SO easy to use too :o). Here’s a little hint of what I’ve been up to with it … November 2011 022 In my next post I’ll show you how easy it is to make a cute little table mat :o).
Well I’d better be off and do some stitching … what with the dreaded lurgy (gone now thank goodness), my birthday, and Tahlia and Luke’s visit I’ve hardly picked up a needle for waaaaay too long.

Attention all stitchers from UK and France ;o)!!!

As you would probably have guessed by now, I’m getting a bit excited about our upcoming visit to see my gawjus girl and her partner in London …18459_256177823178_656333178_4335273_1687739_n That’s my Tahlia in the red coat with her partner Luke on the left. The other couple are my DS Ross and his lovely wife Alicia – they visited UK last Christmas. I cannot wait to give Tahlia and Luke a great big hug – I miss them SO much!! Only 3 more sleeps til we leave :oD!!!!!!

Of course, we’ll also be doing some travelling around and some sight seeing, so I was hoping my friends in the UK might be able to help me out and let me know where the patchwork shops are over there as I’d love to check them out :o). We’ll be hiring a car for part of the holiday and plan to travel around a bit. We’ll also be going to France and spending a week in Nice so if there are any stores around there I’d love to hear about them too ;o).

I haven’t started packing yet … but I have to say, all of our suitcases are looking much smarter now, thanks to Fiona from Bubz Rugz – look what arrived in the mail yesterday…September 2010 162 and when I opened it up …

3 GAWJUS luggage tags for our suitcases!!!!!!!!!! Don’t they look smart now (try to ignore my DHs guitar stuff in the background he he he). Bear (my DD2) also snaffled the pretty pink ribbon to go on hers :o)  ….September 2010 168 We’ll have NO trouble picking out our bags on the carousels now!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Fiona … your thoughtfulness just warms my heart :o)!!! I LOVE them :o)!!!

I’d better be off … I still have HEAPS to do before we go ….
