It’s like she’s got some sort of radar!!??

How is it that as soon as I lay something quilty out to take a piccy of it Sophie finds me??? I swear she was nowhere in sight when I laid out this cute little traymat to show you. But as soon as I clicked … there she was LOL.February 10 062And of course once she realised that her kitty radar had led her to a comfy spot once again, she settled in!!! Don’t you love that look on her face …. she’s almost DARING me to shift her!!!!! February 10 065Well I did!!!! I couldn’t show you what I’d made with her bum planted firmly in the middle of it he he he.February 10 067I made this with the leftover strips from making this, plus a few bits from my scrap box. It’s just a little tray mat to use when my dear Mum comes to stay with us. She’s waiting for a knee replacement op and was supposed to go in a week ago but got sent home for lack of beds. So now we wait until they call her again. She’s coming here to recuperate after it’s done, and so now I’m prepared lol, so there will be brekky in bed when she gets here :o)!!!

I’ve been playing with some truly delish fabrics!!! Have you seen Moda’s “Blush” range from Basic Grey?? Oh it’s SO pretty. I’ve got just a few pieces at the moment but I just know there will HAVE to be more. Here’s a sneaky peek at what I’ve been up too.February 10 069 Hopefully I’ll get some more time to stitch this afternoon (fingers crossed) so I should have it finished soon. I’ll show you more when it’s done :o).

Hope you’ve all had a fabulous weekend, we’ve had LOADS of rain, and we needed it so badly so the garden is looking much brighter now :o). Look at my gorgeous Hoya ………February 10 017 and my pretty begonias….February 10 019These are all right outside Bear’s bedroom window. Isn’t she lucky!!!

Have a great day ……………

Didn't you know? Cats have a sixth sense for all things quilting. They always know exactly when a finished project needs to be christened with their furry lovin'.

P.S. Here's hopin' your mom heals fast and with as little pain and discomfort as possible.

Can a cat be a ham? I think yours is trying to be one.

Hope things go well with your mom.

I have two Maltese puppies, and one does the same thing, Joy! I think your kitty has done it because she loves you and that is one way of getting close. Hope uour Mum's op is successful and your blossoms are looking beautiful!

That's too funny. Our rottweiler gets excited whenever I try to take pics of anything, she can be quite the camera hog.

Oh yes, I believe it's called quadar [quilt + radar], and all cats have it. *giggle* Love the tray cloth, so good of you to spoil your mum! Love your sneaky peek....I'm so glad Basic Grey is making fabric now. Your flowers look GORGEOUS.

Hmmmm...been wondering about that. No matter where I put my quilt stuff, Wolfie (My cat!) will find it and fall asleep on it.

Very cute tray mat. Cats are funny creatures... until mine had a kitten it used to come inside and sit on the spare chair in the sewing room at the same time every day!
Yup, Blush is beautiful....love BasicGreys fabrics....

Hi Joy,
the tray mat looks great...I'm sure it will brighten the breakfast tray. I'm sure the cat would disagree :)
I hope things so well for your Mum. My Mum's having a cataract op tomorrow.

Hugs, Sharon

I love the picture of your hoya! My Mom had one in the dining room window when I was growing up. My Dad made a huge trellis for it to climb, and eventually it covered the whole window. I wish I had a picture! Thanks for the memory.....

Don't they just. My three just appear out of nowhere. I'm sure they take it in turns to be on look out duty. Wimpy had to go to the vets today for his jabs so he is hiding behind the washing machine now. I expect he will get me back later. The other two have had the runner off the dinning room table today. Those tassels were just too tempting!!

Hi Joy! I think they all come with the same radar... 'there's a quilt, must go sit on it and have a bath'
Your new project looks yum :)

you're right....their radars work overtime where quilting's concerned!!! Can I move into your house when I have to have my knees replaced??? I'll book in now....looking at about 10 years from now!!! Hope all goes well with your mum's op....I can honestly say I feel for her now and from what I hear, after the op, all's like new again! Your blush is beautiful too and SNAP...we have matching begonias!!!

sugary hugs always
Wendy :O)
